about

Beautiful now appears as the final track to One Last Dance.

The Gypsy Bard remix is probably my most known remix of all time. And that's really neat.

I love my remix of the Middle, but I will still pick Fabian Mazur's over mine.

I can still remember the day I opened at Sizzler, I really tried to hold my composure after hearing of the tragic loss of Tim Bergling. I just couldn't. I knew I had to commemorate him with hey brother. I hear that song differently now. So I arranged orchestra and acoustic guitar parts. Later on that year I went ahead with a full EDM remix instead of just the hey brother theme. Rest in peace Avicii. ◢ ◤

I remember getting access to the midi for Air but I wanted to open it differently than usual. And in keeping with what Orchestral Design taught me, block chords are just as important as other fancier chords. Opening with a string section and horns followed by those rhythmic bass lines always gives me chills.

I've always loved Archie V and his style of Mainroom EDM. It become sort of a goal of mine to someday reach his level of production. I feel with this remix, especially in that last part I really exceeded what I dreamed of.

Toterra and I go back a bit. When I first started getting into DJ-ing for nightclubs for Mayhem events Toterra and I along with some really chill broskis like Mark the Mountie, Hungryboy, MØD Music E Z - E and Boomy became my first DJ community. I've learned so much from them. Toterra was holding a remix contest and I was like, yeah let's do this. I won and gave the $50 iTunes card to my momma.

Silva Hound you absolute GOAT. I've been a fan of yours since 2012. I learned basics of mixing by spinning your early works. I absolutely look up to you and I'm so proud of how far you've come over these years. I had worked up enough steel to take on remixing Taco Tuesday at a point in my life where I was ready to see how far I can take what I've learned from you as well as other DJ's influences and make one of my personal favorite remixes of all time. There's some heavy Steve Aoki influences as well. Big love to both you guys!

My heart was one of a big breakthrough in 2017 when I really focused on making Wrecked, my debut EDM album. I remember spinning at a hotel suite party for a con. We got at least 3 noise complaints that night.

The make it bun dem remix was featured on Boosted Arts YouTube channel. Skrillex was definitely another producer I've kept tabs on since 2011. My entire preconception of Electronic Music changed the day I heard Bangarang. And despite criticism of how he's "changed" or his music just "doesn't sound the same anymore" to all that nonsense I say, I dig it. For an artist to re-invent their own wheel so to speak I will always advocate. I liked the creative directions Skrillex has chosen. Variety is always good in my opinion.

Rest in peace Stefan Karl. Another remix from my debut album Wrecked, We are number one was probably the first time since discovering Dubstep in 2011, that I wrapped up production thinking "woah I just made Dubstep". Because I had tried making Dubstep back in 2011 and 2012 but it was missing alot of components, like Massive but at least it didn't stop me from creating orchestral hybrids. And that led to my attempt at real Dubstep.

By the time the Cold remix was made I was already a huge fan of the modern Electronic Pop movement that artists like The Chainsmokers and DJ Snake have made waves with. It's that certain style that made this remix possible. Experimenting with percussion techniques and really exploring Serum's potential helped a ton.

I had so much fun with How long. Charlie Puth is fantastic singer and songwriter. In contrast to the anti-drop ideology that Charlie had about the album Voicenotes I went all in on that drop. Using 8Dio's Hybrid tools to help in areas of sound designing. I've been really successful with combining 8Dio's libraries and Serum. They are my winning combo.

Love me like you do was such a crucial song to put in One last dance, it mirrors the sentiments I felt around the time of writing the original tracks and remixes that appear on the album.

A few critic reviews of my Believer remix said that it sounds too rushed or the vocals are buried in the mix. Both valid critiques. It was not easy to stretch the vocals to speed up with the rest of the mix. That's why I had to section off parts of the verses, his fast rapping part was just too fast. But that aside, I really tried something new with this remix.

Probably the most remixed of all these, I've seen Runaway remixed by Garnika and I was so inspired from his remix that I wanted to try my own.

Akon's Lonely has been giving me feels for relationships I wasn't even in. It's the single life anthem lmfao.

It ain't me was a fun remix to work on. That bass line was what carried the entire mix and everything else was built around it.

Huge fan of Post Malone. I wanna jam with him someday. Also this is called the Daydream remix because it reminds me of all the daydreams I had in school.

My first remix from the show itself, The Spectacle had such amazing vocals for EDM so I wanted to try experimenting with it in what I knew at the time to be Bounce. To experts they'll say it sounds nothing like Bounce. And if that's the case then I made something new. Cuz I don't even know what to call it.

This compilation ends with three instrumental edits during the time when I had a complete meltdown about Reverbnation shutting down my account after trying to upload these remixes in One Last Dance. It's all good though, I been with Distrokid and I have no complaints with them. At least they have the decency to let a producer know before submitting what's to be expected and what isn't allowed.
